Which shoe size should I choose?
Children's feet experience it all: running down the street, splashing through puddles and climbing trees. That's why it's important that youngsters wear a well-fitting boot.
Children's feet sometimes grow faster than you think, so it's important to measure them once every 2 to 3 months. A child's feet are still very mobile, so the wrong shoe size can contribute to foot problems later in life. But, how do you go about measuring your child's feet and how do you know what's the right shoe size?
Follow the steps below, for a quick and easy way to find out your child's shoe size. You will need an A4 sheet, a ruler, a pen or pencil and, of course, a pair of children's feet. 😉
- Put the A4 sheet on the floor and place one foot on the paper. It is important that the child is standing upright. You can use one hand to keep their foot flat on the paper.
- Trace the child's foot with a pen orpencil. ✏️ You can also simply draw line atthe heel and big toe.
- Measure the length between the heel and the big toe. Drawing a line between these two points makes it a bit easier to take the measurement.
- Then follow the steps above with the other foot. You may find the length is different for each foot!
- To get the right size, add one centimetre to the length you measured (this is the growing space), and voilà, you've got the right size.
- Check the size chart below and select the size you need. Note: the centimetres in the table are the internal size of the boot.
- If the centimetres fall between twosizes in the table, then choose the bigger of the two.
- Every child's foot is different when it comes toshape and size. If you're unsure about your child's shoe size, contact one of our outlets who will be able to measure your child's feet and fit the correct size.
